I. List of Offshore toolpusher duties:

  1. Participate actively in the Canrig Behavior Based Safety Program. (BBS)
  2. Analyze samples for composition (lithology) and oil content (show analysis). Note any formation changes, unusual lithologies and key marker beds and communicate to client.
  3. Note any sudden occurrence of metal shavings in samples and communicate to client drilling representative.
  4. Acquire chromatography data as required.
  5. Maintain samples in an archive for later shipment to the client. Wet unwashed samples can be stored in plastic bags and dried samples stored in paper sample bags. Ensure all bags are clearly and correctly marked with the depth of the sample.
  6. Ship archived samples as per client's instructions.
  7. Perform routine preventive maintenance on all company-owned equipment on job site.
  8. Routinely check and maintain calibrations on all sensors and gas equipment.
  9. Report any non-repairable failure to the appropriate technician to expedite repair or replacement of defective equipment.
  10. Track supply inventory and request any needed supplies from service technician.
  11. Maintain cleanliness of mudlogging unit at all times.

II. List of Offshore toolpusher qualifications

  1. Two or more years of progressively responsible experience; however, outstanding candidates with no experience will be considered.
  2. B.S. Degree in Geology or related field
  3. Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Willingness to work 12-hour shifts in remote, isolated locations for extended periods of time.
  6. Willingness to travel within the United States or internationally.
  7. Recent, and relevant experience as Rig Manager.
  8. Joystick/touchscreen experience
  9. VFD and SCR experience
