I. List of Offshore
steward duties:
- Responsible for defining requirements, analyzing business needs, and validating the solutions with the stakeholders
- Be the "Gate Keeper" in maintaining consistency, uniformity and accuracy of all systems master data
- Identify and manage the escalation and resolution of data quality issues in a cost-effective and timely fashion.
- Administer all necessary Create/Read/Update/Delete requests to appropriate reference data, insuring accuracy and completion of information
- Ensure that all data management standards reflect existing data governance policy
- Participate in formal project teams and activities concerning Master Data
- Coordinate flow of information between all departments for responsible master data elements
- Determine and track the root cause(s) for all change requests
- Execute necessary maintenance for all master data integrity clean-up projects
- Respond to and provide appropriate information for all master data related questions and inquiries
- Investigate all known issues related to systems master data
- Ensure all Enterprise Master Data Forms are accurate and up to date
- Support the conflict resolution process through providing data oriented metrics and details
- Assist in the identification, definition and population of the correct and required data
- Works independently on regular duties under general supervision, referring questionable cases to supervisor or others
- Interact with technical teams to stay involved and abreast of emerging technologies
- Ensure appropriate stakeholders are involved in new initiatives to obtain needed information, maintaining the highest level of data quality throughout the organization
- Contribute to establishment (and transformation as needed) standards for data quality, usage, and definitions through tooling and scorecards
- Participate in project data migration activities through identification of data sources and targets
- Work with the Product development project teams to ensure data requirements are met
- Assist in the development process for projects to ensure customer needs are met
- Ensure Global data requests are completed accurately and thoroughly
- Examines data quality, applications, and functions and recommends changes to enhance processes
- Provide training within the Reference Data and other departments and teams regarding master data processes
- Work independently to achieve departmental goals and objectives
II. List of Offshore
steward qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, IT or related field
- 7+ years of work experience; 3 to 5 years data management experience
- 4+ years in single data domain ( reference, structured finance)
- 2+ years in an additional data domain
- Working knowledge of CUSIP, ISINs, CINS or other market identifiers
- Working knowledge of GoldenSource is highly desirable
- Intermediate skill in database knowledge (SQL queries)
- Oracle back-end experience and understanding of metadata structure
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Advanced Microsoft Access and Excel skills
- Advanced multi-tasking skills and time management skills
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of reference data elements, processes, and organizational support models is preferred
- Ability to work in an international team including working with offshore and outsource team
- Experience with data profiling as it relates to system usability, quality, and current usage
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and effectively engage with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Good analytical skills and demonstrated ability to effectively troubleshoot and provide solutions
- Proven ability to manage priorities and timelines
- Provide project estimates and work-breakdown schedules
- Responsive, able to work under pressure in crisis with a strong sense of urgency
- Responsible, conscientious, organized, self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
