I. List of Offshore
assistant mechanic duties:
- Responsibility, at a high level, includes application availability, reliability and stability on a 7 by 24 by 365 basis.
- Be willing to work on 24x7 on call basis.
- Ensure timely resolution of all production issues meeting or exceeding SLAs.
- Ensure that the work delivered by the team is of high quality.
- Work with business to prioritize production issues for resolution.
- Assist Service Coordinator and Service Manager in providing management status reports on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Assist Service Coordinator and Service Manager in scheduling OM and work order tasks including management of customer-driven priorities.
- Ensure
that all documentation has been updated and that work product meets UDP /
SOX compliance
Requirements: - Conduct or facilitate root cause analysis on all in-scope incidents and recommend a corrective action plan.
- Assist Service Coordinator as a liaison between offshore resources and business/ onsite IT management.
- Assist in Providing estimates (or coordinate estimates from off shore) on all break/fix, and problem-management activities.
- Identify application performance improvement initiatives and implement the same in consultation with the Service Coordinator and Service Manager.
- Work with the Service Coordinator and Service Manager in process improvement initiatives as directed by the service manager.
II. List of Offshore
assistant mechanic qualifications
- 3+ years experience in Core Java, J2EE, Webservices, JMS/Messaging, Servlets, JDBC, XML
- Experience with Application Servers, preferably WAS7.1
- Knowledge ofHIPAA X12 transactions required (i.e.. 270/271 - Eligibility, 276/277 - Claims Status, 837 - Claims Submission, 835 - Remits, 278 -Auth & Referrals, 834 - Enrollment, 820 - Premium, Paper Claims).
- Ability to quickly grasp and analyze issues and come up with detailed analysis.
- Accustomed to working in fast paced time-frame and goal oriented environment
- Able to deliver under extreme pressure and time constraints
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Undergraduate
degree or equivalent experience
Assets: - Knowledge of Scheduling software (i.e. Autosys/TWS)
- Healthcare domain experience
- Exposure to Unix operating system & basic commands
- Knowledge of DB2 and SQL commands
- Unix advanced commands
- Tools experience with Clearcase, SVN, TOAD/DBVisualizer, SOAPUI, HP Quality central, HPSM
- Methods/Concepts experience with OOPS, OOAD, Extreme Programming, SDLC
- Knowledge of software quality process & compliance procedures (e.g. SOX, ISO)
- WTX experience
