I. List of Crane operator duties:

      1.            Contribute to cargo crew safety briefing including, wind and WX conditions which may affect operations, and communications and signaling briefing prior to start of
      2.            each shift. 
      3.            Daily inspection of crane for safety prior to each operation. 
      4.            Inspect cargo lashings of crane to barge deck prior to ocean transit. 
      5.            Attend daily safety briefings. 
      6.            May also be required to operate a truck or truck and trailer combo to deliver cargo. 
      7.            Inspect regularly and lubricate as necessary cables, pulleys, lift wires, sheaves, guides, drums and crane rigging gear. 
      8.            Physically manipulate, move and/or depress crane controls such as pedals, levers and buttons to move/regulate speed and direction of crane unit, booms, cables,
      9.            buckets, etc., during equipment operation. 
  10.            Perform pre-use inspection of all equipment operated and perform preventative maintenance to include but not limited to adding fuel, oil, and lubricants, cleaning and
  11.            changing cables, filters, hoses, belts, fuses, and adjusting brakes, clutches, limits and similar equipment or functions. Maintain service logs and report damaged and
  12.            unsafe equipment to supervisor and/or maintenance for repairs. 
  13.            Set up, attach, fasten and/or prepare crane with hydraulic hoses, belts, power cords, other attachments and mechanical linkage for the activity assigned and operate
  14.            the equipment within safe load tolerances. 
  15.            Utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment for the assigned tasks and report damaged protective equipment and unsafe conditions to Operations Manager. 
  16.            Complete and maintain proper paper and computer documentation on product movement including but not limited to: proper weight, size and temperatures, warehouse
  17.            locations, load slips and inventory tallies, etc. 
  18.            Assist with general maintenance and cleanliness of terminal and assist with product spills using shovels, scoops and any specialized tools and equipment as required
  19.            and trained to use.

II. List of Crane operator qualifications

      1.            2 years of experience in crane operations experience primarily on Manitowoc 4000 crane or suitable. 
      2.            Barge Cargo operations experience. 
      3.            Experience in transportation and delivery of cargo.
      4.            Ability to work with a team, take direction from supervision, work effectively and cooperatively with other people, focus attention on detail and follow established
      5.            work rules. 
      6.            Ability to deal with evolving operating conditions with few concrete variables in standardized situations. 
      7.            Demonstrate aptitude to execute and maintain necessary records. 
      8.            Ability to maintain regular, dependable attendance. 
      9.            Ability to safely and efficiently operate bulk moving equipment in tight, cramped spaces and in, around and above other workers. 
  10.            Good written and oral communication skills. 
  11.            Attention to detail and accuracy. 
  12.            Proven safety consciousness. 
  13.            Knowledge of mobile crane terminology, operation and techniques. 
  14.            Knowledge of Universal Hand Signals for rigging and lifting. 
  15.            Ability to calculate load capacities. 
  16.            Ability to work independently. 
  17.            Ability to plan and organize work. 
  18.            Ability to interpret written and oral instructions. 
  19.            Ability to perform strenuous, physical work. 
  20.            Ability to meet predetermined deadlines.
